Over the past year and a half, we have listened closely to the families at The Grand Green – Familux Resort. In early 2024, plans were finalized to implement the changes that, based on guest feedback, will help the resort grow even more successfully.
New Worlds of Experience
On the top floor of the Waldresort, nearly 500 guests of all ages can now soar to lofty heights among dreamlike clouds and three themed adventure areas. During the five-week renovation of the upper floor, a Teen Club and a 9-hole black-light mini-golf course with a space-themed design were created. The newly built, vibrant green Forest Games Area offers unique family fun with a total of eight action-packed attractions. In the lovingly designed Family Play Area, it’s now time for plenty of cuddles with a view of the Thuringian Forest.

Family Fun Like Never Before!
An extraordinary forest adventure for the whole family awaits guests at The Grand Green – Familux Resort in the new Games Area. On the 4th floor, a magical space has been created among tall trees, small roots, and a total of eight pieces of play equipment guaranteed to provide fun. In addition to true classics like billiards, table tennis, and various foosball tables, kids can really let loose at trendy stations like Fox Ball, Valo Jump, Air Hockey, and Multi Ball.
Adventure Golf
Cosmic Mini-Golf Adventure!
When you take the elevator up toward the clouds at The Grand Green – Familux Resort, you’ll board a spaceship that takes you straight to the next adventure—a 9-hole adventure golf course. Once you arrive in space, exciting challenges await the whole family. Whether it’s loops and jumps, aliens, or astronauts, every hole offers variety and guaranteed family fun. A special highlight and absolute eye-catcher is the black-light version, as mini-golf can be played here in both daylight and darkness.
Teenie Club
Up in Space!
Unwind, let loose, and spend time with friends—that’s exactly what you can do now at the new Teenie Club. “Up in Space” is the theme, which can be found both in the cozy reading corner and at the DJ booth with its karaoke station. At the Gravitrax table, teens can tinker together. In collaboration with Ravensburger, we’ve created a place where teenagers feel at home and will surely continue to go on family vacations with Mom and Dad for a long time to come.
Family Play Area
Play, run around, and cuddle together!
The new Family Play Area is all about quality family time. In collaboration with Ravensburger, we’ve created a space for moms and dads with babies and toddlers aged 0 to 4. Our youngest guests can enjoy their first adventures on the climbing tower with a ball pit, plenty of cuddles on cozy daybeds, and magical play opportunities in the light-filled family area with a view of the Thuringian Forest.
