Skiing
The “SNOWPARK Oberhof” ski area offers ideal conditions for a wild ride in the great outdoors in winter – the Skisport HALLE is the perfect indoor alternative. This means you and your family can have fun in the snow all year round.
Tobogganing
All around Oberhof, you’ll find perfectly groomed toboggan runs for all ages. Whether you’re looking for leisurely family runs or thrilling rides through the winter landscape—just a few minutes from The Grand Green—you’re in for pure winter fun.
Biathlon & cross-country skiing in Oberhof, Thuringia
An absolute highlight is the LOTTO Thüringen Indoor Ski Centre, unique in Central Europe. A 10,000 m² paradise created for our active guests. Thanks to a constant temperature of -4°C and a precisely controlled humidity level, the indoor ski centre offers optimal snow quality 365 days a year. The cross-country tracks follow the natural course of the terrain.

The tracks are divided into the following areas:
High-speed power lap (264 m)
North-east loop (380 m)
West loop (1110 m)
This unique sports facility is complemented by the attached shooting hall, consisting of four shooting lanes for small calibre and air rifle. There is also a ski rental, a large changing area with integrated changing rooms, two separate shower rooms and over 150 lockers.

Ski resort in Thuringia with lift facilities
Oberhof SNOWPARK is one of the most popular ski resorts in Thuringia, with an 800m long ski slope called the Fallbachhang. The combination of the high altitude and the artificial snow system means that the Oberhof ski area offers some of the best snow conditions in winter. In addition, a new 4-seater chairlift was built in 2018. The beginners’ slope is located in the lower third of the slope. Here beginners can learn more easily thanks to a 60-metre magic carpet and an easy, blue-marked slope.

For freestylers, there is a snow park at the middle station of the chairlift. They can test their skills on the Gastank, Kinked Box, Butter Box and other obstacles. With a length of 350m, the snow park offers plenty of space to let loose and have fun.

“Sport Luck” offers individual ski lessons for everyone who wants to learn cross-country skiing or improve their technique. The well-trained DSV* ski instructors teach you the basics of classic cross-country skiing techniques. Advanced skiers can also take a skating course.
