An absolute highlight in Oberhof is the LOTTO Thüringen Indoor Skiing Centre, unique in Central Europe. A paradise created on 10.000m2 meters for our active guests. Thanks to a constant temperature of -4°C and precisely set level of humidity, the ski hall offers optimal snow quality 365 days a year. The cross-country tracks follow the natural course of the terrain. The tracks are divided into the following:
- High-speed power lap (264 m)
- North-east loop (380 m)
- West loop (1110 m)
This unique sports facility is complemented by the attached shooting hall, consisting of four shooting lanes for small calibre and air rifle. There is also a ski rental, a large changing area with integrated changing rooms, two separate shower rooms and over 150 lockers.
Ski lift
The Oberhof SNOWPARK with its 800m long ski slope, called Fallbachhang, is one of the most popular ski areas in Thuringia. The combination of the high altitude and the available snow-making system makes the ski area in Oberhof offer some the best snow conditions in winter. In addition, a new 4-seater chairlift was built in 2018. The beginners slope is located in the lower third of the downhill piste. Here, beginners can learn easier thanks to the 60-meter-long magic carpet and a simple, blue-marked slope.
Freestylers get their money’s worth in the snow park, located by the middle station of the chair lift. They can put their skills to the test on the Gastank, Kinked Box, Butter Box and the other obstacles. With a length of 350m, the snow park offers enough space to let loos and have fun.

Year-round cross-country skiing in the Oberhof indoor ski centre
Sport Luck offers individual ski lessons for everyone who wants to learn cross-country skiing or improve their technique. The well-trained DSV* ski instructors teach you the basics of classic cross-country skiing techniques. Advanced skiers can also take a skating course.
